Things have been crazy busy around her . We are remodeling our inside space to create a gallery area  .The gallery area will soon be playing host to rotating exhibitions of art and furniture that have been made by local  artists and fabricators from reused materials. The space was designed by our own Sergio Traverso with new walls and cool  lighting all made from reclaimed materials A new cash wrap are is being built using the biggest workbench  you have ever seen.  It is going to look fantastic! We have taken out the old "back room" and opened up the whole building for display space.  We are also designing and building a small fleet of new display tables that will debut soon.

Come on by and check out the progress, and pick up some cool reuse materials for your own fab make over while you here. Keep an eye on this space you might find that with all this new space and all,
that we might just have to throw a party or something to break it in with.

Its been crazy busy this spring , what with the dry weather  and all. Everybody has started back working on projects that most years  would be done after March  rains have dried up.  Our Red Shovel Crew has been working like mad  getting ready for the spring garden season.  We also have added a wholesale  component to our tumbled glass works . If your are interested in wholesale Opportunities in the six Bay Area counties  give matthew a call or leave him an email  he will get the info right out to you.    We also  have pared our  glass offering down to the best selling seven colors and types.  Especially popular is our River Rock glass

Its been quite a while since our last news post, over two years actually... And in that two years we have been super busy working on perfecting the layout of the yard, the organization of the materials and overall trying to make Building REsources better serve YOU, our community.

Currently we have a great stock of salvage framing lumber and beams as well as our usual inventory of windows, doors, sinks, bathtubs, lighting, tools and hardware.

The special for this week: our collection of coveted library cabinets. We have been holding on to these babies for nearly 2 decades and it's finally time to say goodbye! Folks have been trying to buy these drawers for years and because they have been so popular, we want to give everyone an opportunity to own them. So for the first time ever, our collection of 6 cabinets will be up for silent auction, 1 week only! Auction opened this morning and will end Friday, November 30, at 4:30pm. Come in check em' out and place a bid.

We just got three spools of 3/8" cable. Who wants to make a zipline somewhere? This is good steel cable, and there's a lot of it. Let's make a deal!

Building REsources works closely and in cooperation with the Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Council. Currently their community recycling center and San Francisco native plant nursery are being threatened with eviction under false pretenses. Laundry.

We have one commercial washer and one dryer. These are just like the ones at the Laundromat, but without the coin slot. The dryer is gas and the washer is 220v. We usually don’t deal in appliances but these were too good to pass up. Hurry up before it rains.

San Francisco, California
We are an award winning, as seen on TV, eco-friendly, nationally recognized and San Francisco's only non-profit salvage yard.
